Celebrate the end of the school year at Sunningdale’s annual Foire Fantastique on Thursday, June 12 from 5 pm to 8 pm (rain date is June 13). Brought to you by the parent School Council, this year’s fun fair will feature inflatable rides, face-painting, henna, silent auction, live music and much more! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards classroom technology, as well as initiatives that promote student inclusion and belonging.
Sunningdale families are encouraged to pre-purchase discounted food, tickets and wristbands on School Cash Online in advance of the fun fair. The order deadline is Sunday, June 8 at midnight.

Save money by pre-ordering pizza and samosas online! For advance pre-purchase only, pizza combos (slice, chips and pop/bottled water) as well as medium and large pizzas are available through School Cash Online. Halal pepperoni and gluten-free options are available. Pre-ordered food will be ready for pick-up at the Foire.
Pizza slices (only), samosas and other Snack Shack food will be available for ticket redemption at the event.
The ever-popular ice cream truck will also be at the Foire for cash, credit and debit sales.

Pre-ordered wristbands and tickets will be available for pick-up at the event. There will be a limited number of wristbands and tickets available for sale at the event but at a higher price.
A wristband will provide unlimited turns on the inflatables. Tickets are required for all other activities as well as for Snack Shack food at the event.

We require many volunteers to make this event a success for our students and families. Volunteers are currently needed to help on the day of the event (i.e. setting up, manning tables, face painting, henna, first aid, etc.). The volunteer schedule is organized in shifts, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the fun fair.
Please be reminded that all volunteers over the age of 18 must have a Criminal Background Check.

SECONDARY STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
Secondary students will receive up to 5 hours towards their OSSD volunteer requirement. The volunteer shifts are:
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Students that do one shift will receive 2 hours towards their OSSD volunteer requirement.
Students that do two shifts will receive 5 hours towards their OSSD volunteer requirement, plus a pizza slice or a samosa and a drink.

On the week of the event, be sure to bid online on the many silent auction items which include a laser tag party, toys, movie passes, reserved seats to Grade 8 Graduation, Principal for the Day, and much more! Stay tuned for a sneak peak of the auction items.

Sunningdale Public School is looking for local and community-minded businesses to support our upcoming family fun fair, Foire Fantastique, on Thursday, June 12 (rain date: June 13). All students, families and neighbours are invited to attend this event where we will have inflatables, games, entertainment and much more. With an estimated attendance of 500 students and their family members, this is a tremendous opportunity to promote your business to local Oakville families!

One of the popular features at the fun fair is our silent auction. We rely on the generosity of local businesses and organizations like yours to donate a gift certificate or an item that can be auctioned at the event. Donors will be recognized on the School Council website and on promotional materials related to the silent auction.

Local businesses and vendors have the opportunity to book a community table at the fun fair to promote and sell their products, services or programs within the community for a nominal fee of $60. Businesses/vendors will be recognized on the School Council website and on promotional materials related to the community tables.

Businesses have the opportunity to become an event sponsor of a specific featured attraction. For example, your business could sponsor one of five inflatable rides that will be featured at the fun fair.

Sunningdale School Council will be hosting a Planetarium Event on Thursday, May 22nd, bringing the wonders of the universe directly to our school gymnasium! Presented by Royal City Science, their mobile planetarium will offer daytime sessions for grades 4 to 8 students, and an exclusive evening event for grades 2 and 3 students and their families.

Grades 2 and 3 students and their families are invited to enjoy the magic of the planetarium at evening sessions in the Sunningdale gym. The sessions are scheduled at 15 minute intervals. There are limited spots, so please register HERE to sign up for a session. Once a time slot is full, it will no longer appear on the form.

To show our appreciation of the wonderful staff at Sunningdale Public School, School Council is holding a Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, June 2. In an effort to organize this event, we ask that families kindly donate towards the luncheon via School Cash Online (www.schoolcashonline.com). We respectfully suggest $5 per student (or more).
